Questions
Frequently asked questions.
Is Tackle Montana really free?
Yes. No cost to your school, athletic department, players, or families — ever. Fully funded by the Montana Institute of Sport.
How long are sessions, and what do they cover?
45 minutes, on-field, led by our coaching staff — body position, tracking, head placement, and control in the contact zone.
Is it just one session?
Not necessarily. Most programs start with one session, and many bring us back for follow-up coaching as the season goes on.
Do we need pads or full contact gear?
No. Sessions run in practice gear, with a low-impact option that builds technique without taking players to the ground.
Who can request a session?
Any Montana football program — middle school, high school, or club — plus PE departments and coaches.
How far in advance should we schedule?
Submit the form and JD Stephenson will follow up to lock in a date around your team's calendar.
